Who We Are
We are the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s gastro health advocacy group! GH Foundation on Campus strives to destigmatize gastro health conversations among students at UIUC.
Our Mission
In partnership with the GH Foundation, we are dedicated to empowering and educating students about the significance of addressing often overlooked health topics. Our mission is to promote proactive gastrointestinal health and encourage early detection through engaging speaker events, hands-on workshops, and our initiatives for Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. By fostering open dialogue, we aim to create a healthier, more informed community at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
At the core of our mission is education and advocacy. We believe raising awareness about gastrointestinal health is crucial, especially for young adults who may overlook its importance. Our organization fosters a culture of acceptance and belonging, where every member has a voice and plays an essential role in advancing our mission. We aim to create a lasting change by breaking down stigmas, encouraging early detection, and fostering a campus environment where health is a priority.
